Onions and Garlic are part of the same Allium family. But they behave very differently in the market. Onions are available throughout the year. Egypt is well known for producing amazing tasting onions. The Garlic Season is brief and the sharp taste of Egyptian Garlic creates heavy demand. Egypt has a strong advantage because the weather and soil is ideal for both of these vegetables. This allows the growers to focus on growing the highest quality vegetables.

Brown, Yellow, and Red onions are all plentiful in Egypt. Luckily due to our climate and geography, onions are easy to grow. The same is true of the purple and white garlic that boasts a strong global demand. We work with local farmers to help them distribute their goods on a global scale. We provide them an economic outlet not otherwise available to them. This translates to higher wages for them and a richer tasting vegetable for anyone lucky enough to enjoy them.
